Terms of service
These terms apply when you use wifehug.store or buy from Wife Hug ("we", "us"). By using the site or placing an order, you agree to them. Please read them along with our Refund, Shipping and Privacy policies, which are part of these terms.
1. Eligibility
You must be at least the age of majority where you live to place an order. If you're younger, a parent or guardian must place the order and agrees to these terms for you.
2. Products and images
We try to show our products as accurately as possible. Photos, videos and graphics are for illustration. Colours can look different on different screens, and the inflated shape can vary slightly. The Wife Hug™ costume is a novelty item intended for entertainment.
3. Prices and orders
- Prices are shown in your local currency where available and can change without notice. The price you pay is the one shown at checkout.
- Receiving an order confirmation email doesn't mean we've accepted your order. We may refuse or cancel an order, for example if a product is unavailable, there's a pricing or listing error, or we suspect fraud. If we cancel after you've paid, we refund you in full.
- We may limit quantities per customer or per order.
4. Payment
Payment is taken when you place your order. You confirm that you're authorized to use the payment method you provide.
5. Shipping, returns and refunds
Delivery, returns and refunds are covered by our Shipping policy and Refund policy.
6. Safe use of the costume
The costume is inflated by a small battery-powered fan. For your safety and the safety of others:
- Read the included instructions before use.
- Not for children under 14. Children 14 and older should use it only with adult supervision.
- Keep the fan running and its air intake uncovered at all times while wearing the costume. If the fan stops or the costume starts to deflate, take it off right away.
- The costume limits your vision and movement. Move carefully, take extra care on stairs, curbs and uneven ground, and never wear it while driving, cycling, near traffic, swimming or near water.
- Keep it away from open flames, candles, fireworks, heaters and other heat sources.
- Don't sleep in the costume, and don't wear it for long periods in hot conditions. Take breaks and stay hydrated.
- Remove the batteries when you're not using it, and use and dispose of batteries according to their manufacturer's instructions.
To the extent permitted by law, you're responsible for using the costume safely and as directed.
7. Reviews and content you send us
If you post a review, photo or video, or send it to us, you confirm that it's yours and honest, and you give us permission to display it on our site and social media. We may remove content that's unlawful, offensive or unrelated.
8. Intellectual property
The Wife Hug name and logo, and the text, images, videos and design of this site, belong to us or our licensors. You may not copy or use them without our written permission.
9. Using the site
You agree not to misuse the site, including by attempting to hack or disrupt it, scraping it, placing fraudulent orders, or using it for anything unlawful.
10. Third-party links and services
Our site may link to or use third-party services, such as payment providers and social media. We aren't responsible for their content or practices.
11. Warranty disclaimer
To the extent permitted by law, the site and our products are provided "as is", without warranties beyond those set out in our policies or required by law. Some jurisdictions, including Ontario, don't allow certain warranties to be excluded. Where that applies, those warranties aren't affected by this section.
12. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, we're not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential losses arising from your use of the site or our products, and our total liability for any claim relating to an order is limited to the amount you paid for that order. Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't legally be limited, such as liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence.
13. Your consumer rights
Nothing in these terms limits the rights you have under the Ontario Consumer Protection Act or other consumer protection laws that apply where you live. If any part of these terms conflicts with those laws, the law prevails.
14. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada that apply there. If you're a consumer living elsewhere, you also keep any protections the laws where you live give you.
15. Changes and severability
We may update these terms from time to time. Changes don't affect orders already placed. If any part of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest stays in effect.
